The popularity of this strict interpretation encountered a movement boost in the United States in the 1960s with the founding of the Jehovah Witness sect and the resurgence of the apostolic religion in the United States. The proselytism of this resurgence has reached its peak, today, in public schools and the electoral process of representatives.
